The German branch organisation for the professional furnishing industry, the bso Verband Büro-, Sitz- und Objektmöbel e.V., reports a 2% growth among its members in the first half of 2102 compared with the first half year of 2011.
The market represented by the bso reached a volume of EUR 950 million in the first six months of 2012.
This increase was entirely due to domestic growth: +4.8%, whereas exports decreased by 4.5%.
In the segment case goods the growth amounted to 6%. Seating declined by 1.7% in the first half year 2012.
