Designed by Les Ateliers Flown, the ‘Cantilevered Desk’ is a unique furniture piece derived from the winglet of a rare boeing 737-800 aircraft.
‘This winglet had set the bar high and thus it was essential to sublimate it and exploiting the majesty of this part in applying noble materials and high-end finishing,’ says the studio.
Measuring 4-meters long, the horizontality of its posture has been naturally imposed. The endless perspective is started by a sensual and voluptuous curve. The structure is stabilized by a sea pearl granite block emerging from the ground, a gesture that intends to play on the subtle balance between aerian and earthly. The desk will be offered at auction during the next aeronautics auction organized by the Artcurial auction house on the March 2, 2015.
