RSP Architects has created a new office design for the headquarters of Sprouts Farmers Market located in Phoenix, Arizona.
With rapid growth and an IPO under their belt, the corporate headquarters for Sprouts Farmers Market was underperforming. To continue to attract the best talent and more accurately portray the brand, Sprouts turned to RSP Architects and Layton Construction to create a modern, open and sustainable office space. The result: a space that captures the grocery store chain’s brand, values and aesthetic.
The Sprouts Farmers Market Headquarters project includes a four-level tenant improvement of approximately 80,000 SF along with a 1,500 SF retail store within a mixed-use development in northeast Phoenix.
New to Sprouts is a small scale grocery store of 1,500 SF. The store serves both Sprouts employees and other workers in the development as well as residents of the surrounding neighborhood. The retail store is so successful that leadership is looking at other potential applications in urban locales.
The remaining floors are the grocery store chain’s corporate offices and include a variety of unique office spaces to encourage collaboration and engagement. Each floor has a theme to capture the farmer to market concept—including open and rolling fields, barn and farmhouse front porch. A unique feature not found in many corporate headquarters is a large commercial kitchen where in-house chefs create new recipes and outside food vendors regularly visit to exhibit new products to the retailer.
